My Story
HI, I'm Sarah and want to thank you for stopping by.
I’m a wife, mother, author, and advocate with a heart for encouraging hope in the midst of life’s hardest seasons.
My journey has taken me down paths I never expected. As a former nurse, I spent years caring for others, and my passion for maternal mental health led me to become an advocate for mothers navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional challenges that can come with those seasons. I was honored to serve as Mrs. Arizona America, using that platform to bring awareness to maternal mental health and the importance of seeking help without shame.
Life has also brought its own share of heartache and unexpected challenges. Those experiences have changed me, but they have also deepened my faith, strengthened my compassion, and inspired me to begin writing. My stories are rooted in hope, healing, resilience, faith, and the belief that even the most broken chapters of our lives are not the end of the story.
I don’t claim to have all the answers, and I don’t pretend that healing is a destination. I’m still walking that journey myself. If my books, my words, or my story remind even one person that they are not alone, then every page has been worth writing.
Today, my husband - a pilot - and I are stepping into a new adventure as we trade our traditional home for life on the road in an RV. It’s a leap of faith that combines our love of travel with a desire to simplify life, recover from some unexpected hardships, seek new experiences, and continue finding healing one mile at a time. Along the way, I hope to share stories, meet incredible people, and inspire others to believe that it’s never too late to begin again.
Please note - during my parenting time we will continue to prioritize the kids. We will provide a safe and stable location for them. During that time we will be back at our family's cabin, our family's midwest home, (both locations the kids have spent plenty of time at) or we will go to visit them during shorter visits. As we've done many times over the past few years.
Whether you’ve found me through my books, advocacy, or our travels, I’m so glad you’re here. I hope this space leaves you feeling encouraged, seen, and reminded that hope is always worth holding onto.
Blessings!
Sarah
